I. REPENTANCE FOR SIN IN THE CHURCH: WORSHIP OF MAN RATHER THAN GOD(Source: Intercessors for Israel)

The bride of Messiah in the West is, for the most part, part of the problem as opposed to being part of the solution.

Yeshua, please reveal the rampant humanism that plagues Your bride in her thinking and her theology. Lord, purge Your bride of the worship of man, which is humanism. Restore to the Church a love for Your Word, a love for Your truth. "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17:17) to pray and study the Word and to not be deceived by man's ideas or schemes -- especially those that work but are not of You."Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Messiah: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Messiah: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Messiah." Focus Point: Children of "homosexual parents"

A recent report by Paul Cameron and Kirk Cameron, published by the Family Research Institute, brings evidence of the confusion and trauma experienced by children whose "parents" are of the same sex. Summary: Referenced as weakening the case for parenting by homosexuals, 57 life-story narratives of children with homosexual parents published by Rafkin in 1990 and Saffron in 1996 were subjected to content analysis. Children mentioned one or more problems/concerns in 48 (92%) of 52 families. Of the 213 scored problems, 201 (94%) were attributed to the homosexual parent(s). Older daughters in at least 8 (27%) of 30 families and older sons in at least 2 (20%) of 10 families described themselves as homosexual or bisexual. These findings are inconsistent with propositions that children of homosexuals do not differ appreciably from those who live with married parents or that children of homosexuals are not more apt to engage in homosexuality.

3. THE BLESSING OF ISRAEL: LAYING AXE TO THE ROOT OF HUMANISM IN ISRAEL

We were drawn to look at Psalm 11, especially verses 3-5. "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? LORD is in his holy temple, LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence [Hebrew = hamas] his soul hateth." (Psalms 11:3-5)

• Abba, we confess that the foundations of Western civilization are destroyed because they are now based on humanism and not Your Word.
• Abba, because of this, we also confess that we have set up idols and worship things like democracy and freedom-which if not based on Your word-lead one into deeper bondage.
• Lord, You are in heaven and You rule over all (Psalm 103:19), therefore Your Word is the highest truth and to Your Word we bow.
• Great God, please restore a biblical foundation to Israel and the West.
• "Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee; When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man. And LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. (Zechariah 9:12-14)
