WEEK FOUR: Friday, Dec. 16Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005
"If a Godly man compromise with the wicked, it is like polluting a fountain or muddying of a spring." (Prov. 25:26 TLB)
Compromise justifies worldly views and actions in the Body of Christ. Over time, the demons of hell have slowly desensitized the Christians. Instead of the church affecting the world, the world has affected the church. WE MUST TAKE BABYLON OUT OF THE CHURCH, AND THE CHURCH OUT OF BABYLON.
The opposite of compromise is INTEGRITY. According to Webster, integrity is soundness, the quality or state of being complete or undivided [not double-minded], honest; adherence to a moral code. True integrity is when no one is looking or when many are compromising and we still do what is right and honorable.
Who shall serve the Lord? "Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me." (Ps. 101:6) "Judge me, O Lord; for
I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide. Examine me, O Lord, and prove me: try my reins and my heart. For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth." (Psalm 26:1-3)
Can we honestly pray these words? Do we keep our appointments with people? Do we call them when we say we would? Do we pray for people when we say we would? If we receive too much change at a checkout line, do we give it back or keep it? That money may be taken out of the clerk's paycheck if we don't give it back.
Are we honest in all our dealings?

II. REPENTANCE FOR THE SINS OF THE NATION: OVERTURNING ROE V. WADE
This week we will stand in repentance for yet another sign of the shedding of innocent blood in America: the passage of Roe v. Wade, the ruling that "legalized" the performance of abortions in America, on January 23, 1973. Tragically -- even almost beyond belief -- is the fact that more than 44 million abortions have now been performed in the U.S. since the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling.
This holocaust of the unborn must be stopped. Offer earnest intercession, in repentance, for this wicked decree that still exists as "law" today in our land, and ask our Lord to reveal the ROOTS of this evil and how to eradicate it. PRAY FOR THE OVERTURNING OF ROE V. WADE.
MCCORVEY: AMERICA IS SLOWLY DYING OF A HOLOCAUST OF ABORTION
The bitter cold in the nation's capital Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, did not deter a pro-life activist whose landmark court case led to the legalization of abortion in the United States 32 years ago. Standing outside the U.S. Supreme Court, 57-year-old Norma McCorvey was accompanied by about 35 people -- some with personal experiences with abortion, and others who are lawyers backing McCorvey's request for the high court to reverse Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that made abortion legal.
McCorvey was identified as "Jane Roe" in that controversial case, but for the last decade has charged that she was deceived and manipulated by abortion proponents who needed a test case to challenge the prevailing law at the time. Despite the fact that her case ended up serving as the legal justification for abortion, McCorvey did not abort her own child.
"America is slowly dying of a holocaust of abortion that began with Roe vs. Wade," McCorvey said Tuesday. She said her experience working in abortion clinics in the 1990s and her conversion to Christianity in 1995 made her regret the part she played in making abortion legal. (CNSNews)
OFFER THANKSGIVING for the courageous public testimony of coming to faith and freedom from guilt through Jesus Christ delivered on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court last winter by Norma McCorvey ("Jane Roe" in the Roe v. Wade 1973 Abortion case). PRAY that the Supreme Court will accept her petition to re-hear the 1973 Roe v. Wade case, and will reverse Roe v. Wade. PRAY that the Lord anoint, strengthen, protect and sustain Norma and her lead attorney, Allan Parker of the Justice Foundation. PRAY for the millions of women who have been victimized by abortion. III. THE BLESSING OF ISRAEL: Turn the hearts of your people to You, O Most High God.
Isaiah 44:21-22
"Remember these things, O Jacob, And Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you, you are My servant, O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me. "I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud And your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you."
Jeremiah 3:12a-15, 21-23
'Return, faithless Israel,' declares the Lord; 'I will not look upon you in anger. For I am gracious,' declares the Lord; 'I will not be angry forever. 'Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against the Lord your God And have scattered your favors to the strangers under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice,' declares the Lord.
'Return, O faithless sons,' declares the Lord; 'For I am a master to you, And I will take you one from a city and two from a family, And I will bring you to Zion.' Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding.A voice is heard on the bare heights, The weeping and the supplications of the sons of Israel; Because they have perverted their way, They have forgotten the Lord their God.
"Return, O faithless sons, I will heal your faithlessness." "Behold, we come to You; For You are the Lord our God.
"Surely, the hills are a deception, A tumult on the mountains. Surely in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel.
Jeremiah 4:1-2,4a
"If you will return, O Israel," declares the Lord, "Then you should return to Me. And if you will put away your detested things from My presence, And will not waver, And you will swear, 'As the Lord lives,' In truth, in justice and in righteousness; Then the nations will bless themselves in Him, And in Him they will glory." "Circumcise yourselves to the Lord And remove the foreskins of your heart,
Jeremiah 24:7
I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart.
Nehemiah 1:8-9
Remember the word which You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful I will scatter you among the peoples; but if you return to Me and keep My commandments and do them, though those of you who have been scattered were in the most remote part of the heavens, I will gather them from there and will bring them to the place where I have chosen to cause My name to dwell.'
Hosea 14:1-2,4
Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, For you have stumbled because of your iniquity.
Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him, "Take away all iniquity And receive us graciously, That we may present the fruit of our lips.
I will heal their apostasy, I will love them freely, For My anger has turned away from them.
Joel 2:11d-13
The day of the Lord is indeed great and very awesome, And who can endure it?
And rend your heart and not your garments." Now return to the Lord your God,
For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness And relenting of evil.
Zechariah 1:2-6
The Lord was very angry with your fathers.
Therefore say to them, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts, "Return to Me," declares the Lord of hosts, "that I may return to you," says the Lord of hosts.
Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts, "Return now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds." ' But they did not listen or give heed to Me," declares the Lord.
Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?
But did not My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, overtake your fathers? Then they repented and said, 'As the Lord of hosts purposed to do to us in accordance with our ways and our deeds, so He has dealt with us.' " ' "
Malachi 3:6-7
For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.
From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you," says the Lord of hosts.
PRAYER POINT: Nehemiah 1:10-11
They are Your servants and Your people whom You redeemed by Your great power and by Your strong hand.
O Lord, I beseech You, may Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant and the prayer of Your servants who delight to revere Your name, and make Your servant successful today and grant him compassion before this man."
